The Fairey Soup Cans probably don't need any explanation for most everyone. They are iconic and if you know, you know. This is Soup Can III (2009). The Fairey Soup Cans are absolute grail works by the artist. Much more rare and smaller edition sizes than most of the artist’s prints. Originally conceived as a set of four, Soup Can 1 was published in 2005 to be included in the super rare Beautiful Losers Portfolio, which is a boxed set of 27 prints by Beautiful Losers artists. It wasn’t until 2009 that Beautiful Losers and Fairey got around to publishing the other three prints in the set. Fairey nailed it. The color combinations are both stunning and unique. The Soup Cans are one of the most rare and sought after images by the artist.
