This is a VERY rare, out of print large format book by Rita Ackermann. Filled with artwork she produced during a residency in Marfa, Texas in 2009. EXTREMELY rare and we are letting the last few of these go for about half of what they sell for on the secondary market.
Ackermann is one of the OGs of the New York downtown scene from the 90s, coming up with all the Beautiful Losers artists. We included her in several BL projects in the 2000s and distributed her printed output during that period, including this book. She has collaborated with many other BL artists including Harmony Korine.
Ackermann is a Hungarian-American artist. Her work includes paintings, drawings, and skateboard design. She moved to New York City to study at the The New York Studio School of Drawing, Painting and Sculpture. Ackermann has been featured in numerous museum and gallery exhibitions in the United States, Japan and Europe. In 2008 she participated in the Whitney Biennial and in 2014 had a solo exhibition at Art Basel Unlimited.
