This is an extremely rare HAND SILKSCREENED poster from 2001. It was published on the occasion of the 2001 exhibition at New Image Art gallery in Los Angeles. We've had this in the archive for 23 years now. This poster was designed by artist and curator Rich Jacobs and is handmade/silkscreened.
"Move" was a series of group art exhibitions that Jacobs curated for NIA during this period. Fantastic shows.
New Image Art was one of the galleries that really did a great job of incubating many artists from this genre. Much respect. This iteration of the show included Thomas Campbell (Beautiful Losers), Brian Chippendale (of Lightning Bolt and Fort Thunder), Evan Hecox (Beautiful Losers), Chaz Bojorquez, Erika Brown, Calef Brown, Daniel Higgs, Jordin Isip, Rich Jacobs, Simone Shubuck, and Rodger Stevens.
