Beautiful print. Cynthia Connolly has an impressive body of work. Her photographs are in the permanent collections of many museums. This print comes from a body of work entitled "Ice Machines". It's a part of her effort to document nostalgic and disappearing elements of Americana and American life. We exhibited a huge grid of about 20 Ice Machine works in Beautiful Losers, including this image. Each print was about the same size as this print, so the installation took up a huge wall - it was a hit. People loved it. Another fun fact about Cynthia, she more or less ran Dischord Records (Minor Threat, Fugazi, etc) for many years... and this is how we met her. Her seminal book "Banned In DC", a crucial document of the original DC punk/hardcore scene continues to sell and be reprinted. It's an essential book for anyone interested in punk, DIY, or independent music culture. Last fun fact... Connolly also drew the cover art for Minor Threat's "Out Of Step".
This is the 2004 Untitled print by Cynthia Connolly. This print is part of the Beautiful Losers Portfolio and has been exhibited in galleries and museums globally. Special holiday price! Check the link!
